Safeguarding Adults Level 1 provides staff in all roles within their workplace with an introduction to the key concepts and principles of safeguarding adults. Completing Level 2 will enable you to implement measure and instruct others in the workplace.

Safeguarding adults legislation is updated regularly and this session will be kept up to date in this regard. This session may include information that you have not previously been taught.

Level 1 Course Summary

  • Understanding what is meant by the term ‘vulnerable adult’
  • Knowing the forms abuse may take
  • Recognising signs and symptoms
  • Knowing what to do and what not to do
  • The legislation and guidance concerning safeguarding adults at risk

After completing Level 2 you will be able to:

  • Implement safeguarding adults at risk procedures in the workplace and instruct others in safeguarding adults at risk within your healthcare working environment
